Dear friend Hilde,
The CD, The Dolphin, is a single. The only double and triples I have of Stan are with Chet Baker in Stockholm etc., People Time recorded in Copenhagen and The Final Concert recorded in Munich at the Münchner Philharmoniker's concert hall. I am sure you can obtain a copy of The Dolphin at Amazon or iTunes. I would send you a copy of mine if it were legal but I'm not sure about that.
Anyway, keep singing and posting. I love hearing other musicians' renditions of standards. Call me crazy but I even like Lisa Ekdahl. Listen to Eliane Elias playing But Not for Me. Maybe you can record this great Gershwin tune with lyrics by brother Ira. Best of everything to you. Paul

Dear Paul.
Thank you for your wonderful words, it means a lot. Wow so you met and listened to the composer, Walter Gross, what a lucky guy you are.
I've listened to a lot of music from Stan Getz and Lou Levy, but have to check up on their version of "Close Enough For Love" again. In Norway there's a double, or triple CD with their recordings available, I had it, but sent it to Bev. Do you have that box? There's some really excellent takes there, I tend to buy a new one now.
And again; Thank you for making my day a little bit warmer and brighter.
All the best in life
Hilde :-)

Chère Mme. Hefte, what a wonderful way to start the day: two great songs, fine arrangements and charming renditions. Thank you, a delightful experience. You will discover a superb reading of Johnny Mandel's Close Enough for Love by Stan Getz and Lou Levy on the album The Dolphin. Tenderly is one of my five all time favorite songs. I was fortunate to meet and listen to the composer, Walter Gross, when he appeared nightly at the Pig'n Whistle restaurant in Beverly Hills some sixty years ago. I hope these songs as well as so much beautiful music and so many meaningful lyrics will live forever. With artists like you carrying the torch chances are good. Thanks again, it was a treat to hear you and the excellent orchestra.
