Stan Getz was a large influence in my tenor playing. Like myself, Stan started playing tenor sax at the age of 13. He, also like myself, had spent up to 8 hours a day practicing his tenor. My music teacher constantly told me "Practice Makes Perfect" later on in school I was taught "No Ones Perfect". Hmmm, confuse a kid, why don't ya.
