I am also reminded that this is also Sonny Stitt's birthday. February 2 1924
There must be something special about that date (-:
Sonny was very close to Stan during his JATP days. They made it a ritual
to get together on that date and wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Stan and Stitt were marvelous with Dizzy on For Musicians Only in 1958, but Stitt played alto on Lover Come Back. I wish he had played the tenor on that date, as did Stitt with Dizzy and Sonny Rollins.
