- Retired 77 year old geezer. I loved Stan's playing when I played trumpet in the USAF bands. My mentor, Lucky Borland was a big fan of the Getz style and played a lot like him which of course influenced my taste in jazz. Played lots of gigs with Tenor, trumpet and rhythm. It really remains a happy memory and always will.
