Remembering Stan...
The Great Stan Getz & Wayne Shorter...
This is a photo taken at Stan's home in Malibu, CA around 1988. Stan was playing an old Russian Ballad on my son's clarinet. Wayne Shorter was doing a few deep knee bends to warmup...and I was being a good daddy changing Lauren's diaper. Relaxing just before a home party gig that we were playing at, along with Oscar Peterson and Ray Brown.
