My favorite is from, Stan Getz and Oscar Peterson Trio "The Siver Collection" (1957)
02 Pennies From Heaven

so if no one minds I would like to make it # 1 in the count down.
Difficult to come up with our top tune. An almost impossible task.
There is a session I particularly love. The West Coast Session.
With Lou Levy, Leroy Vinnegar and Shelly Manne.
The music is sublime.
From that session one track which I play continuously.

Of Thee I Sing.

How about in there near the top (-:

Richard I uploaded it in my player.

Denis
A great selection Denis, and I have a copy and boy I do agree it should be up top how about #2. Thanks for the input.

Great idea, Richard, but difficult task for me too ...

I always love listening to the concert live at Storyville (Boston on october 28, 1951), with Jimmy Raney, Al Haig, Teddy Kotick and Tiny Kahn.
Everything is perfect and the music is exciting

If I must make one choice, it will be 'Parker 51' , near the top too... :)

Good luck for the classification !!!
Pascal
Pascal you and I have some of the same taste I being a Guitarist do enjoy a little more of the Raney,Smith,Ellis selections just a little more then some..The early years with Stan seam to be pretty heavy with Guitar work, Stan must of liked the Harmony that a Guitar brings to the setting as do I..And right up there near the top will be your request my friend, great choice and Thanks for the input....
