About me:: When I was a young tad (1944) my dad bought me an alto sax. I studied with Bud Hunter in Chicago and practised diligently. One day (after a couple of years had passed) I was listening t0 a local DJ named daddio Dailey - he played Early Autumn which, of course, featured a solo by Stan. I listened in a stunned manner. I looked down at the alto I was holding and wondred, "Why am I playing this instrument?" I switched to tenor and there I have stayed for over 65 years!
