I have turned many people onto his music. Over the years like most sax players we have all tried to duplicate Stan's "airy tone" however no one could. There are great players out there and then there is an elite group of a few---Stan is #1 on the list. Some of the best players in the would said Stan was the best---including John Coltrane. Stan's music is forever.
