Stan Getz was a large influence in my tenor playing. Like myself, Stan started playing tenor sax at the age of 13. He, also like myself, had spent up to 8 hours a day practicing his tenor. My music teacher constantly told me "Practice Makes Perfect" later on in school I was taught "No Ones Perfect". Hmmm, confuse a kid, why don't ya. Anyway, What I loved most about Stan was his Sambas and Bossa Novas. He was known for his cool jazz sound, and became popular while playing with Woody Herman and la…

Thanks for your support. Yes, I will be asking you some questions as I go along.
I am renting a new Yamaha YAS 200AD which is a YAS 23, different case only. I have been playing this for 73 days and I think I will be playing the sax the rest of my days. So, I am starting to think about buying a horn. No, not a Yamaha. I am going to a shop this weekend, www.saxalley.com to try some high end used horns.
The mouth piece that came with the Y is a 4C hard plastic. I am going to try a Meyer 5. Thoughts?
PS We live in Fort Collins, CO and have always been near & dear to all animals. We have had baby foxes born in our backyard 2 years in a row. Did you see my pictures?

I know how dogs get soooo upset with fireworks and thunderstorms! Thankfully, Stella is oblivious to both!! But the horses go bullistic. I will have to close them in their stalls and hope they don't hurt themselves. They should be alright. I'll leave their fans on high, which will help to keep them cool and block the noise of the fireworks a bit.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
LOVE THE VIDEO!!!! SOOOO SWEEEET!!!
Love you too,

Leaving Saturday.
No, believe it or not, it's not Toots on the harmonica, it's a Norwegian guy named Finn Hauge and harmonica is not even his main instrument.
Yes, I have to work hard to come up with a new album that can match a full symphony orchestra, band and the wonderful arrangements of Egil Kapstad. - he-he
Hope life is smiling and that you're enjoying spring/summer.
All the best in life
from me to you.

Well, I fell in love with Paulie the squirrel! How precious a relationship people can have with nature. I always told my mom I wanted a skunk...just de-skunked..LOL I am still waiting for that one ha ha:) An Owl would suffice. I am going to leave a link here for you, just in case you are interested in ornithology. Some say its for the birds..lol Pun intended;) I love watching these owls raise their young. The owlets are big enough to be discovering their feet..( do owls have feet? lol ) I asked that on forum there and no one answered? ha ha Anyway...they are the neatest little things and growing fast. I will leave the "beakspeak" site that has every bird cam throughout the world and they have a squirrel cam as well;) Thank you for your frienship and your true love for Gods creations...so refreshing! :) I have a hunch you might already know about these bird cams..but just in case...;)http://www.beakspeak.com/birdcams/
