- About me:
I am first and foremost a musician and trained as a classical pianist although I play several other instruments.
My influences outside classical music are a mixture of jazz/blues/ragtime/rock/fusion/reggae from a childhood spent listening to all those wonderful sounds.
I have been writing songs for a very long time but have never released any of my work, being an introverted sort of extrovert!
This year and only very recently, the moment seemed to arrive when the music inside me would wait no longer and I created a myspace page for myself and put out six of my own recordings.
Since then - and that is only 3 months ago - I have had a whirlwind of a ride! I ventured to put the same songs ont the Reverbnation chart only 1 month ago and one of my tracks 'Can't Leave You Alone' has climbed rapidly in the blues chart and is now at number 10.
Quite an achievement for me personally.
I was invited to join The Jazz Network and and there met Jaijai Jackson who has been unbelievably supportive and encouraging.
I am currently featured in the 'Spotlight' item on the jazz Network home page with my successful track and I'm also featured on Live Blues World who have also been
very supportive to me.
As of Christmas I helped launch a new radio station by being
the first track played! This is BluesnBoogie on Live365
and I'm rewarded by having my track 'Don't Send Me To Hell'
at NUMBER ONE voted by the listeners!
So that's the story so far........I've really always been a musician but a reluctant perfomer - now that is behind me and I am enjoying every single moment.
