- I never had the pleasure of meeting Stan Getz. The closest I got was when Stan called me on the phone one day on a private family matter You can imagine my surprise when I lifted the receiver and heard the person introduce himself. I am better acquainted with his musical brother-in-law Peter Silfverskiöld with whom I shared a musical and professional relationship for several years. Stan, however, has always been a musical inspiration to me over several decades
