About me:
I'm a childhood friend of Stan Getz and convinced Stan at the age of 13 to take up the sax and not the drums as he originally had chosen. Our first band at the age of 13 was a three piece band and we earned our first dollar playing at a New Years Eve party for Stan's parents in the Bronx. We both attended James Monroe H.S. in the Bronx. Stan left High School to join the Dick Rogers band for a short stint and then joined Jack Teagarten's band. From there it was all history...
