I was just on with AOL-Music checking on Stan,and there they have 4,072 songs and 405 albums [main] 34 others, 219 compilations, 7 DVD, 11 imports and I thought I had a lot !!! but only offer 134 albums for sale !! I only have 121 albums of Stan's with is a lot but so many still need to be converted to hard drive..

And it is so so nice of you to send the stamp,I will put in a frame for sure. It will be the best of all my music stuff [ticket stub's ect.]..and found 3 or 4 more covers I did not have, go figure....

Hello Gerard, We are very excited to hear of the TRIBUTE TO STAN GETZ jazz event you are about to organize next summer, and now we read you have a new jazz event on Oct 30th !!! You are a very busy man. ((o: We look forward to watching any videos that you will be kind enough to record. It sounds like you have your work cut out for you. But when you love music as you do, it is not so much work. We listened to your video of Autumn Leaves, and thought, this man really loves to play his horn. If you lived around NY Lou would be glad to tutor you on playing the sax. Sorry to hear you cut four tendons in an military accident. Hopefully the sax playing will strengthen your fingers in time and act as as therapy for you. The best advice to give is to practice as much as possible. Like Stan I would practice up to 8 hours a day. You will see,....You and your horn will become as one! Best of luck with all your musical endeavors, and keep us posted my friend. - Lou and Eva

Hi Gerard, Thought you might enjoy this video. Linsey Pollak drills out a carrot and turns it into a clarinet and plays it. He swings with the best of them too. On the night of his big concert his wife accidently chopped up the carrot clarinet and put it in the soup she was cooking for diner that night. hahaha! - Lou

I posted many of my jazz portraits and I hope one or more you can use for your work, I posted them so everyone not only can view but to use as they want. Saint-Raphaël is not so far from where I am living most of the time, I am living in Beausoleil near Monaco , so as we are quite close, may be we could meet us in a very short time !? Why not !

In wich speciality were you in the army before ? I made some good visits in U.K in many good military museum, the level of the British Army is very hight ! I made some good jumps with the parachute regiment!

Le "SWISS RAID COMMANDO" était une compétition militaire ouverte aux militaires du monde entier étant brévetés "COMMANDO"...cela se passait tous les deux ans autour de COLOMBIER (CH)...une très belle région, tu dois pouvoir voir les anciens sites web de ce raid militaire mythique!!

Si vous me permettez de vous appeler ainsi, je trouve que ce que vous avez écrit est très beau ! J'ai eu l'occasion de remarquer à plusieurs reprises vos créations et j'aimerai créer un jour un festival "pictural" avec votre musique, vos compositions en fond musical...on pourrait même y adjoindre un festival pyrotechnique!

J'ai toujours aimé créé malgré plus de 27 ans passé dans l'Armée de terre et la Gendarmerie Nationale...cette année, je pars "en retraite" et je me lance à créer ..des choses tel cet "hommage à Stan Getz"...où vous êtes bien sûr invité !

Regardez le site web que j'ai créé pour cette occasion et vous verrez que moi aussi, je suis plein de rêves comme nous tous ...les miens sont peut-être moins importants ...mais je suis certain que vous arriverez à votre rêve !

En tout cas, très heureux d'être votre ami sur ce merveilleux site en l'honneur de Stan que j'aurai aimé connaître, c'est un homme carismatique, complexe mais tellement envoutant avec sa couleur sonore...on ne peut rester insensible à tout ce qu'il disait avec sa musique, celle qui vient de l'âme et du coeur !!!
